We have surpassed our goal of $3,000 for lighting. A huge thanks those who have already contributed to our project fundraiser. Remember, our second part of the goal is to raise an additional $3,000 for railings. So, if you haven’t contributed yet, please do so. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to be able to raise enough funds for both of these very important enhancements to our church. Remember, your prayers are the greatest contribution. Please pray for continued success for our project fundraiser at St. John’s.
Our new mission partner, St. Mark’s Youth Enrichment will be hosting their 4th grade summer program in Our Parish House June 17-August 2. They are in need of volunteer readers. They provide the books. The reading takes place on Mondays and Wednesdays, 9:00-9:15 am. If you are interested in reading, contact Ron Paar from St. Mark’s at firstname.lastname@example.org or call the St. Mark’s Youth Enrichment office at 563-582-6211.
As the flowers in your garden start to bloom and/or you visit farmer’s market, please remember flowers for the altar. Just choose a Sunday you want to bring flowers and reserve that date on our calendar. The flower calendar is located beside the elevator on the main floor. How wonderful to have flowers on God’s altar that you picked from your garden or purchased at market!

Almighty God, the fountain of all wisdom, you know our necessities before we ask and our ignorance in asking: Have compassion on our weakness, and mercifully give us those things which for our unworthiness we dare not, and for our blindness we cannot ask; through the worthiness of your Son Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
