Rector / Pastor

The Reverend Dr. Kevin Goodrich, O.P.

Father Goodrich grew up in rural New England, hunting, chopping wood, and working with his father’s landscaping business and the family’s modest-sized apple orchard.

While most of his ministry has been in the Midwest, he’s served churches in Philadelphia, PA, Miami, FL, and Canada. With a background in children and youth ministries, as well as an advance degree in counseling, Father Goodrich has walked with individuals, couples, and families, of many ages, stages, and backgrounds, through life’s highs and lows.

He’s a friar under life vows in the Anglican Order of Preachers (also known as the Dominicans), one of the many religious orders in The Episcopal Church. He’s known for his sense of humor, engaging preaching style, and ability to relate spiritual concepts to the challenges of everyday life.

Besides a good laugh, he enjoys the outdoors, and the music of Dean Martin.

Associate Rector / Associate Pastor

The Reverend Dr. Susan Forshey

Raised in a career Army family, Mother Susan enjoyed moving to new places every few years, especially Germany, where she began her journey of faith in the Roman Catholic tradition. As an adult, she has spent time in many different faith communities, from Pentecostal to Presbyterian, and found a home in the Anglican tradition’s “middle way.”

Mother Susan is also associate professor of Discipleship and Christian Formation at the University of Dubuque Theological Seminary. She brings over two decades of Christian Education and spiritual direction experience, serving churches in Seattle and Boston, with a special interest in the neuroscience of spiritual practices.

A lover of Irish and English spirituality, she often leads summer trips to Ireland and the U.K. Along with gardening, exploring ancient Irish ruins, and photographing wildlife, Mother Susan writes periodically at her blog, The Contemplative Cottage, on matters of prayer and attentiveness. Her wise cat, Minerva, daily reminds her to put down the phone and enjoy the beauty of non-screen life.
